Beard Papa: Are these cream puffs the new Voodoo Doughnuts?

Voodoo Doughnut's reputation is one that surpasses itself, but even with a 24 second video of the doughnut case with nearly 5,000 views on YouTube, the cult following of Voodoo does not compare to that of Beard Papa’s Fresh ‘n Natural Cream Puffs, who just announced will open an Oregon location inside the Beaverton Uwajimaya this month.

The first Beard Papa’s opened in Osaka, Japan in 1999 and since has spread to China, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia, Australia, Singapore, the UK, Thailand, the Philippines, Tahiti, Malaysia, Russia, Canada and the U.S.

I know, *gasp* it’s a franchise! If you think you need a good reason to step foot in a chain, watch this charming video of its inception while eating a Chocolate Dream and before you know it you’ll be calling this woman eating a cream puff up to go on a Beard Papa’s date, where you will undeniably discuss how they are as fluffy and lovable as the proprietor’s beard.
